Where Good Ideas Come From

While perusing the greatness that is TED talks, I came across a talk given by one Steven Johnson. Steven Jonson is a man who has become obsessed, for lack of a better word, with studying the development of a “good idea.” Now, there is of course, no exact rhyme or reason to the development of good thinking, but he has found some consistencies in his studies. He explains it best, especially in relevance to the collaborative world, given technology and social media, so I won’t convolute his theory anymore than I already have. However, let me leave you with my takeaways – good ideas take time, the best ideas come from several sources (but still take time), and the environment (electronically or not) that we surround ourselves with is important. Check out the article, watch the videos, and then draw your own conclusions.
